Pastor Bart Mueller

Pastor Bart Mueller grew up in St. Joseph, MO and went to high school at St. Paul's in Concordia, MO.  After serving parishes in Minnesota, he came back to St. Paul's High School as an administrator.  He served as Interim Pastor at Messiah - Independence, MO and at Holy Trinity - Grandview, MO before accepting the call to St. John's and St. John’s. He and his wife, Jana, have 4 children and 2 grandchildren.

What are your best hopes for this Advent and Christmas season?  “Advent” is in the word “adventure.”  Something is going to happen and we don’t know exactly what.  This can be both exciting, and a bit unsettling at the same time.  At the heart of Christmas is the simple truth that God comes to meet us in Jesus Christ, and in coming into our lives, saves us from sin and death by reconciling us to God.  God is preparing you now to meet Jesus in the days and weeks ahead.  You can be sure of this, even if you don’t know exactly how he will use you each day.

THANK YOU to everyone at St. John’s and St. John’s who have helped in so many ways with the congregations in this past year.  Through the changes and transitions you continue to work together to focus on the love of God that we share through our faith in Jesus Christ.  I have appreciated being welcomed by you and look forward to working and worshipping together in the exciting year to come.
