Pastor Bart Mueller

Pastor Bart Mueller grew up in St. Joseph, MO and went to high school at St. Paul's in Concordia, MO.  After serving parishes in Minnesota, he came back to St. Paul's High School as an administrator.  He served as Interim Pastor at Messiah - Independence, MO and at Holy Trinity - Grandview, MO before accepting the call to St. John's and St. John’s. He and his wife, Jana, have 4 children and 2 grandchildren.

As we continue the days through the Lenten Season, Palm Sunday and Holy Week, we will hear Jesus saying “It is finished.”  On the cross “He bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”   — John 19:30

Now, if this is where the Christian story stops, we would not be living as people of the resurrection. We would not know who we are or where we were going.  “If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.”  - 1 Corinthians 15:14

But thanks be to God, that is not where our story ends, that is just the beginning.   God does something miraculous through Jesus Christ, so we are able to shout with joy-filled hearts on Easter Sunday, "CHRIST IS RISEN!"  God, who became a human life for us, has restored his body forever, and us with him.  

(The angel said) “He is not here; for he has been raised.”    — Matthew 28:6

Our Church, our faith, and our life with Jesus goes on – FOREVER!
